Recently, the 2026 Grand Canal Stand Up Paddle & Kayak Series (Yancheng Stop) kicked off at Dazong Lake Tourist Resort. As a popular featured water sports event in the Yangtze River Delta, this competition features two well received disciplines: stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking, balancing elite competition with public recreational experience. A total of 156 athletes from across the country competed in eight events, including men’s and women’s single & double kayak 200 meter sprint, men’s and women’s SUP 200 meter sprint, and the SUP 2000 meter relay race.

Held on the high quality open waters of Dazong Lake, the event leverages the lake’s clear waters and pristine reed wetland. Sports competition is seamlessly integrated with natural landscapes, delivering a unique scene where humans and water coexist, and dynamism meets serenity. It showcases both the thrill and romance of water sports. After fierce contests, top six finishers in each of the eight events stepped onto the podium to receive prize money and trophies. All participants were awarded finisher certificates.
