On September 11, Yancheng and China Datang Corporation Jiangsu Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Yancheng. Yan Hanping, Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, and Ma Guobin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Datang Corporation Jiangsu Company, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Wu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee and Acting Mayor, presided over the event.

Yan Hanping thanked China Datang Corporation Jiangsu Company for its strong support for Yancheng’s development. He noted that Yancheng is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on work in Jiangsu. The city is unswervingly pursuing maritime-driven growth, green development and innovation-led transformation, striving to build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system, and accelerating the development as a national carbon-peaking pilot city and a green and low-carbon development demonstration zone. Keeping in step with Yancheng’s growth and delivering mutual empowerment, China Datang Corporation Jiangsu Company serves as a strategic partner in the city’s green and low-carbon transition and new energy industrial upgrading. He hoped both sides will continuously expand cooperation dimensions and deepen practical cooperation results, jointly speed up the construction of offshore wind power and offshore photovoltaic projects, explore innovative models including “marine ranch plus offshore wind power” and “new energy plus hydrogen, ammonia and methanol”, expand market-oriented power sales and direct green power supply services, scientifically deploy ultra-fast charging networks, advance coordination between energy storage, virtual power plants and demand response, build a number of zero-carbon industrial parks and demonstration scenarios for coordinated computing and power supply, and foster the clustered development of energy operation and maintenance services.

Ma Guobin expressed gratitude to the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee and Yancheng Municipal People’s Government for their care and support for the development of China Datang Corporation Jiangsu Company. He said Yancheng boasts unique resource endowments, a complete industrial chain and a superior business environment, which further consolidated the company’s confidence and resolve to scale up investment. The company will continue to expand its investment layout in Yancheng, leverage its strength as the largest power trading customer in Jiangsu Province, facilitate the settlement of export-oriented manufacturing enterprises in Yancheng, contribute to the development of local high-end manufacturing industries, and jointly paint a new picture of green and low-carbon development for Yancheng.
