On September 3, Yan Hanping, Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee, headed a delegation to Changchun, Jilin Province, to pay a visit to China First Automobile Group Corporation (FAW Group). He held talks with Qiu Xiandong, Chairman and Party Secretary of FAW Group, to explore ways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
During the discussion, Qiu Xiandong extended a warm welcome to Yan Hanping and his delegation. He briefed the guests on FAW’s progress in deep going reform, industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as its development vision. He noted that Bestune, FAW’s passenger vehicle brand, would give full play to its strengths in branding, technology and industrial chains to contribute to the transformation and upgrading of Yancheng’s auto industry and the high quality growth of the local economy.
Yan Hanping expressed gratitude to FAW Group for its trust and support for Yancheng. He stated that the automotive sector is a pillar industry prioritized by the city. Yancheng has fostered an increasingly complete industrial supporting system and boasts comprehensive advantages in new energy development, green power supply and port logistics. Driven by leading enterprises including FAW Bestune, Yancheng’s auto industry enjoys broad prospects. He voiced sincere hopes that both sides would leverage their respective strengths to tap cooperation potential in areas such as modern corporate governance and institutional mechanism innovation. By forging ahead in sync and pulling together toward shared goals, the two sides will break new ground in coordinated development between state-owned enterprises and local authorities.
