Huang Hua, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, recently conducted an inspection tour at the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

At the Agricultural Machinery Service Sub‑Center of the Municipal Government Service Center, Huang Hua inquired about window‑based business items and handling procedures. He pointed out that service awareness should be strengthened and administrative procedures optimized. Via the Jiangsu Fishery Safety Supervision System, he learned about the real‑time status of fishing vessels in adjacent waters and the development of the marine fishery safety production system. He stressed the need to uphold a bottom‑line mindset, leverage technological empowerment, and strengthen dynamic monitoring. At the Municipal Agricultural Product Quality Testing Center, he inspected equipment configuration and technical capacity. He required rigorous testing in strict compliance with standards and specifications to safeguard people’s food safety.

During his inspection, Huang Hua chaired a meeting to receive briefings on key agricultural and rural work across the city, and fully acknowledged the progress achieved in work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers. He emphasized the following points. First, it is vital to clarify responsibilities and missions. We should thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, earnestly enhance our sense of responsibility and urgency for such work, and proactively explore new approaches to emerging challenges. Second, we shall focus on key tasks to foster new strengths for the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers. Third, greater efforts shall be made to build a competent workforce. We must consolidate political commitment, cultivate solid professional capabilities, enforce disciplinary safeguards, and build a robust contingent of cadres capable of tackling tough tasks in agriculture‑related work.
