On April 24, the Service Guide for Expats in Yancheng (hereinafter referred to as the Guide) was officially launched in the lobby on the first floor of the China-South Korea Cultural Center of Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Compiled over months, the Guide was led by the Yancheng Foreign Affairs Office, with joint efforts from more than 20 institutions including municipal government departments, financial institutions stationed in Yancheng, local universities, and the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Yancheng. It was formulated through in-depth research and careful revision. Published in Chinese-English and Chinese-Korean bilingual versions, the printed copies are available at airports, railway stations, exit-entry service halls and other public venues. The electronic version has been launched on the iYancheng App via QR code scanning.
Structured into six major sections with nearly 100 service items, the Guide covers visa and residence permits, work permits, housing and transportation, mobile payment, medical treatment and shopping facility, school enrollment, wetland tourism, legal affairs, safety and emergency assistance, and other daily life scenarios. With comprehensive content and clear categorization, it aims to deliver the vision of “Exploring Yancheng effortlessly with one guide in hand”.
The release of the Guide is a practical measure for Yancheng to enhance its international development level and improve the business environment. Yancheng will continue to provide more considerate services with a more open attitude, enabling foreigners living and working in the city to live in peace and contentment and fulfill their dreams. It will also help this city known as “A City That Opens Your Heart and Mind” further integrate into and embrace the world.
