On May 14, Zhou Bin, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, visited Dafeng District to inspect the rectification of environmental issues. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, fully act on the requirements of the provincial and municipal party committee plenary sessions, advance issue rectification with the utmost determination and most effective measures, continuously improve the modernization level of environmental governance, and strive to transform ecological strengths into development advantages and momentum for common prosperity.

Zhou Bin first visited Shanghai Farm in Dafeng District. He inspected the aquaculture wastewater treatment project and listened to reports on the construction of the livestock and poultry manure disposal center. He learned about treatment techniques, facility operation and effluent water quality. He urged enterprises and local authorities to fulfill their responsibilities, keep treatment facilities running steadily and efficiently, guarantee discharge standards and explore new ways of resource recycling. At the Dafeng Port Petrochemical and New Materials Industrial Park, Zhou Bin reviewed the progress of feedback-related rectifications, stressing the need to strictly comply with the requirements of the planned environmental impact assessment, exercise scientific and prudent management of the park, expedite issue rectification, safeguard the environmental rights and interests of the public, and promote green and low-carbon transformation.

During the inspection, Zhou Bin emphasized that ensuring the proper rectification of environmental feedback issues is not only a mandatory task that must be completed but also a practical measure to drive high-quality development.
