On May 9, the Municipal Party Committee convened a citywide meeting for leading cadres to deliver a “510” warning education meeting. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented President Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self-reform and his key instructions on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements. It aimed to educate and guide Party members and officials at all levels across the city to firmly grasp the general requirements of “serving the public interest, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions, and working diligently” in learning and education, thereby driving new progress and achievements in the modernization of Yancheng through practical actions and tangible results.

During the meeting, the warning education film Achieving Political Achievements for the People and Through Diligent Work was screened collectively. In his speech, Zhou Bin analyzed the manifestations and root causes of distorted views of political achievements using case studies, emphasizing that Party members and officials at all levels should treat the people and incidents depicted in the film as a mirror to reflect on, introspect, and draw lessons. They must uphold integrity to strengthen their original aspirations and take practical measures to shoulder their responsibilities.

Zhou Bin pointed out that we must adhere to the principle of serving the public interest in Party building, keep in mind that “one’s primary identity is that of a Communist Party member, and one should aspire to accomplish great deeds rather than seek high-ranking positions, and avoid seeking wealth while in office or pursuing wealth at the expense of public service”. We should always regard the cultivation of Party spirit as a lifelong endeavor, consciously discard selfish desires and distractions, and uphold integrity, virtue, and truth through unwavering Party spirit, continuously strengthening the foundation for establishing and practicing a correct view of achievements.
