Recently, after more than two months of standardized upgrade and renovation, the Exit and Entry Administration Hall of Yancheng Municipal Public Security Bureau was officially reopened to the public. At the same time, the “Joint Handling Dedicated Window” for fast-track immigration registration for foreigners, jointly established by the Exit and Entry Administration Detachment of Yancheng Municipal Public Security Bureau and Yancheng Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station, was also unveiled. This marks Yancheng’s entry into a new phase of “one-stop handling and parallel approval” in the field of foreign personnel management and services.

In the past, foreign nationals working and living in Yancheng who needed to use the border inspection fast-track channel after obtaining a residence permit had to go separately to the border inspection department for information collection and registration. This involved running between different departments, submitting duplicate materials, and facing long approval cycles. The newly established “Joint Handling Dedicated Window,” set up collaboratively by the Exit and Entry Administration Detachment of Yancheng Municipal Public Security Bureau and Yancheng Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station, builds on the existing joint handling of foreign work permits and residence permits by adding the function of collecting information for fast-track immigration registration. It integrates matters previously handled by three separate departments into the Exit and Entry Hall at the Government Service Center, achieving “one window for acceptance, internal parallel approval, and simultaneous completion in a single visit”—delivering a “1 > 3” efficiency effect.

Under the new model, foreign nationals only need to make one visit and submit one set of materials to simultaneously complete three procedures: work permit, residence permit, and fast-track immigration registration. The processing time has been significantly reduced from a minimum of 30 working days to as short as 7 working days. This truly achieves “fewer procedures, fewer materials, less time, and less travel,” greatly improving the service experience and sense of gain for foreign personnel.
