On the morning of March 6, at the Xiangshui Port of Yancheng Port Group, the giant vessel “Hongxinda Tianjin” was berthed at the general-purpose terminal, fully prepared for departure. After customs officers from Yancheng Customs boarded and conducted inspections, the agency enterprise received the customs declaration release notice in less than an hour. “This is the first export of a ‘Yancheng-made’ vessel,” said Zhang Jiasi, Head of the Supervision Section at Yancheng Customs, who was present at the scene.

The “Hongxinda Tianjin” is truly a colossal entity: with a length of 213 meters and a beam of 35 meters, its deck area exceeds that of a standard football field. Its full-load displacement surpasses 50,000 tons, and it can carry 3,630 TEU containers, fully showcasing the overall level of Yancheng’ s shipbuilding industry.

In recent years, as global shipping continues to develop, Yancheng’ s shipbuilding sector has shown a trend toward clustering. The “Hongxinda Tianjin” exported this time was built by the local enterprise Jiangsu Qinfeng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Xiangshui County. Currently, Xiangshui has formed a complete shipbuilding industrial chain integrating design, construction, and maintenance, with continuously strengthening supporting capabilities. The first export of this “Yancheng-built” vessel not only marks a new step forward for local high-end equipment manufacturing but also serves as an important demonstration and leading role in promoting the high-quality development of the regional shipbuilding industry.
