On March 5, the world’ s largest LNG carrier, the “Zarga”, under the escort of maritime patrol vessels throughout the journey, steadily berthed at the CNOOC Yancheng “Green Energy Port” terminal and successfully completed unloading operations. This marks the first time a vessel of this world-class LNG giant has docked at the Binhai Port of Yancheng Port Group, setting a new record for the largest vessel ever to navigate the Binhai Port.

As a “maritime behemoth” in the field of LNG transportation, the “Zarga” has an overall length of 345 meters, a beam of 53.8 meters, and a draft of 12 meters, with a maximum LNG carrying capacity of 266,000 cubic meters. The successful berthing not only demonstrates the navigation capability of the Binhai Port to handle the world’ s top-tier LNG vessels, but also comes at the tail end of the Spring Festival travel rush. This shipment of green energy arrives like a “timely rain,” injecting strong green momentum into the civilian energy supply and the stable operation of industries across the Yangtze River Delta region.
