On September 28, Yan Hanping, Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, presided over the symposium on high-quality development of the city’s automobile industry. He listened to opinions and suggestions from enterprises face to face to jointly explore sound strategies for industrial development. He stressed that we must earnestly study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on advancing the high-quality development of the automobile industry, fully carry out the arrangements set forth at Yancheng’s 9th Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China, strengthen confidence in development, bolster coordinated alignment, optimize the industrial ecosystem, and work together between government and enterprises to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the automobile industry. This will provide strong support for advancing the new practice of Chinese modernization in Yancheng.

Yan Hanping fully acknowledged the sound development momentum of enterprises and thanked them for their vital contributions to the growth and expansion of Yancheng’s automobile industry. He pointed out that amid accelerating industrial transformation and intensifying market competition, the municipal Party committee and government remain unwavering in their emphasis on and support for the automobile industry. The annual targets and tasks set at the beginning of the year remain unchanged, as does our resolve to help enterprises tide over difficulties and resolve problems. We must further shore up confidence, stay focused on targets and keep forging ahead, and push for industrial quality and efficiency improvement through concerted government-enterprise efforts. It is necessary to build a regular platform for coordination, promote deeper connection in supply and demand as well as technological collaboration between vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers, forge a community of interests featuring shared risks and benefits, raise local supporting capacity, continuously strengthen, supplement and extend the industrial chain, and steadily enhance the core competitiveness of the automobile industry.
