On September 28, the work conference on the Peaceful China Initiative was held in Beijing. Yancheng was awarded the title of Model City for Peaceful China Initiative (2021–2025). As the highest honor in the field of peace-building, this title serves as a comprehensive evaluation of social governance outcomes, a direct reflection of people’s sense of security, and an important foundation for high-quality urban development. It fully demonstrates the overall level of social security and stability in the region.

Over the past five years, centering on the overarching goal of peace-building, Yancheng has firmly embraced the concept of “overall peace”. Solid progress in peace-building has boosted the city’s high-quality economic and social development. Yancheng has successively won the titles of National Model City for the Construction of Social Security Prevention and Control System and National Model City for Drug Control. The public security satisfaction rate of the city stands at 99.27%.
