On September 30, Yan Hanping, Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, visited several cultural and tourism venues and businesses to inspect their work on workplace safety. He stressed the need to earnestly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on workplace safety, fully implement the requirements of the provincial and municipal Party committees, maintain a strong sense of vigilance, tighten the chain of responsibility, and ensure that all safety measures are implemented in detail. With a keen sense of responsibility and a constant focus on potential risks, every effort must be made to ensure that the public enjoys a safe and pleasant holiday.

Yan Hanping stressed during the inspections that workplace safety must never be taken lightly. Governments and departments at all levels must remain mindful that while the public enjoys the holiday, officials must stay on guard and fulfill their responsibilities. They must strictly adhere to the principle that industry regulators, business regulators and production regulators must all take responsibility for safety, and vigorously advance the Six Key Initiatives for Workplace Safety. They must also better balance development and security, translating officials’ hard work into greater safety and peace of mind for the public.
