On the afternoon of January 22, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, and Mayor Yan Hanping met in Yancheng with a delegation led by Chen Mengmeng, Party Committee Member and Vice President of China Development Bank (CDB). The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening practical cooperation and jointly witnessed the signing of agreements.

Zhou Bin and Yan Hanping extended a warm welcome to Chen Mengmeng and his team, and expressed sincere gratitude for the long-standing, strong support that China Development Bank has provided to Yancheng’s development.

Zhou Bin noted that this year marks the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. Yancheng is thoroughly studying and implementing the important remarks delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on Jiangsu’s endeavors, and is resolutely following the directives of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Jiangsu Provincial Government. The city remains firmly committed to “pursuing marine development, advancing green growth, and transforming through innovation,” while focusing on building itself into an “international wetland city, greencoastal powerhouse, and gateway city to the Jianghuai region .” These efforts are aimed at propelling Yancheng’s modernization to new heights.

He emphasized that as a development-oriented financial institution serving national strategies, China Development Bank enjoys a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with Yancheng. Zhou expressed hope that this signing ceremony would serve as a fresh starting point, allowing both sides to further expand cooperation areas, elevate the level of partnership, and join forces to advance together on the path of high-quality development.

Chen Mengmeng provided an overview of China Development Bank’s business operations. He stated that Yancheng is showing strong momentum and tremendous potential, and that its development direction aligns highly with CDB’s positioning and strategic priorities. CDB will actively align with major national strategies, closely respond to Yancheng’s actual development needs, continue to deepen strategic collaboration with the city, and deliver higher-quality, more efficient, and more comprehensive financial services—helping Yancheng write a new chapter on the journey of Chinesemodernization.

Following the meeting, the Jiangsu Branch of China Development Bank signed cooperation agreements with Yueda Group, Yancheng Urban Investment Group, and Yancheng Dushi Group.
