On January 12th, reporters learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that in the newly released 2026 Provincial Major Project List, Yancheng has secured a record high of 48 projects, with an annual planned investment of 54.7 billion yuan, ranking second in the province.

Since 2025, Yancheng has accelerated the development of strategic emerging and future industries, such as “Artificial Intelligence Plus” and green hydrogen, ammonia, and alcohol, driving the continuous advancement of new quality productive forces. Projects including ICT Developer Green Methanol and FerroTec High Thermal Conductivity High-Power Sputtering Ceramic Substrates have been selected for the Provincial Major Project List. Yancheng is deepening its focus on the marine industry, steadfastly harnessing the sea for strength. This round of selected projects, such as the offshore “Co-located Wind and Solar Power”, Wanwei PVA New Materials, Tianshun Marine Hull Segments, and Wanlong New Energy Vessels, span marine new energy, new materials, and offshore engineering equipment, which will strongly propel the transformation of Yancheng’s marine industry from “scale expansion” to “quality and efficiency enhancement”.
