Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs officially approved the establishment of the “Key Laboratory of Electric Tractors for Protected Horticulture”. The laboratory will be led by Jiangsu Yueda Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Company, in collaboration with the Nanjing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry. This marks a critical step for Yueda Group in leading the transformation of agricultural equipment toward electrification and intelligence.
    Under the backdrop of the “dual-carbon” goals, the green and intelligent development of agriculture has become a clear trend. Compared with traditional fuel-powered machinery, electric tractors offer significant advantages such as zero emissions, low noise, and high efficiency in enclosed environments like greenhouses. The laboratory actively serves national strategies, targets industrial upgrade needs, focuses on the unique conditions of protected horticulture, and aims to tackle core technologies of electric tractors. It will provide systematic equipment solutions to support the green and low-carbon development of facility agriculture in China.
