On the morning of January 6, Mayor Yan Hanping presided over a meeting to solicit opinions and suggestions on the draft of Government Work Report and the government’s work from representatives of democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, and personages without party affiliation.

At the meeting, participants spoke positively of the municipal government’s achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and in 2025, and put forward opinions and suggestions focusing on the cultivation of characteristic industries, deepening the integration of culture and tourism, the development of marine economy, the construction of primary-level medical care, and the development of private enterprises.

Yan Hanping stated that over the past five years, under the unified leadership of the Municipal Party Committee, democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, and personages without party affiliation have offered advice and suggestions for promoting high-quality development, and provided strong supervision, support and assistance to the government’s work. All of them are participants and witnesses in advancing the high-quality development of the city. This year marks the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. He hoped that all participants would continue to leverage their advantages of gathering talents, pooling intellectual resources and having extensive connections, focus on the key tasks, crucial fields and hot issues of economic work, and take the initiative to conduct research and offer strategies. The municipal government will, as always, support the work of democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, and personages without party affiliation, willingly accept democratic supervision, and create favorable conditions for them to participate in the deliberation and administration of state affairs and perform their duties.
