On January 3, the Bahamas-registered Freight carrying 62,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) berthed smoothly at the CNOOC Yancheng Green Energy Port terminal, which marked the launch of LNG receiving and unloading operations at Yancheng Port in 2026, kicking off the new year’s energy supply guarantee drive.
In 2025, Yancheng Border Checkpoint efficiently ensured the customs clearance of 52 LNG vessels in total, representing a 10.6% increase compared with 2024, and set a new record of handling 4 vessels within 6 days. Thanks to the strong support of the checkpoint, the total LNG receiving and unloading volume at the Green Energy Port reached 2.646 million tonnes.
In response to the rigid timeliness requirements for LNG supply guarantee, Yancheng Border Checkpoint has cut nearly 70% of declaration items, enabling full-process “instant handling” for vessel berthing, departure, and cargo loading/unloading. This measure has shortened the average port stay time of vessels by 2 to 3 hours, maximizing the “unimpeded and efficient inbound and outbound flow” of clean energy. It not only improves the efficiency of energy transportation and reduces the operational costs of enterprises, but also provides strong support for the timely supply of energy.
