On December 30, 2025, the Xinye Road Elevated Expressway constructed by Yancheng Transportation Investment Group was officially opened to traffic. Up to now, the total length of the city’s operational express traffic network has reached 180 kilometers, basically forming Yancheng’s overall pattern of integrated express transportation.

As a key livelihood project prioritized by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Yancheng’s urban express traffic system has undergone a decade of meticulous construction. It stands as the infrastructure project with the largest construction scale, the most sophisticated technology and the highest construction difficulty since the establishment of Yancheng City. With an interconnected internal network, external links to the expressway ring road and through north-south passages, the system not only significantly expands the framework of urban development, but also greatly enhances the convenience and experience of citizens’ travel.

Today, the urban express traffic system has become an important carrier and support for Yancheng’s strategic path of “striving for prosperity via marine economy, pursuing development driven by green initiatives, and accelerating transformation for innovation”, continuously injecting strong transportation impetus into building Yancheng into a “International Wetland City, Coastal Green Hub and Gateway to the Yangtze-Huaihe Region”.
