On February 15, the city’s secondary vocational education symposium was held. Vice Mayor Wang Lianchun attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

At the meeting, the municipal education bureau briefed on the development of secondary vocational education in the city, and some heads of secondary vocational schools made speeches. Wang Lianchun pointed out that we should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, take Xi’s important exposition on education as the fundamental principle, implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, and put vocational education in a more prominent and important position. We should give full play to the due role of secondary vocational schools in the education system, bear in mind the mission and improve the quality of running schools. Focusing on the requirements of high-quality development, we should comprehensively and scientifically evaluate and supervise the secondary vocational schools in our city, control the direction of running schools, and implement targeted policies accurately, so as to provide more talent support for accelerating the construction of green and low-carbon development demonstration areas.
