The Third Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival falls on September 22, and a series of celebration activities were held in Yancheng. Chen Honghong, deputy party secretary of CPC Yancheng municipal committee, and Shan Ganyin, a second-level inspector of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, attended in Xiangshui county and Sheyang county.

2020 is the year when the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects will be achieved, and it will also be a year of decisive victory for the elimination of poverty. Yancheng is an agricultural city, and has taken the responsibility of maintaining the overall stability of agriculture, rural areas and farmers.  Yancheng's summer grain output continues to rank first in Jiangsu province.
