Ahead of the International Children’s Day, Zhou Bin, Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, visited several schools to extend greetings and best wishes to teachers and students, conveying festive congratulations to children across the city. He also conducted research on education-related work. Zhou emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on education, fully carry out the arrangements of the provincial and municipal Party committee plenary sessions, follow the laws governing educational development, deepen reform and innovation, optimize the allocation of educational resources, and dedicate efforts to providing high-quality education that satisfies the people. He noted that these efforts will lay a solid educational foundation for advancing Chinese modernization in Yancheng.

Preschool education is the starting point of nurturing and educating children. Zhou visited the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Kindergarten, where he inspected the campus environment, activity areas, and supporting facilities, and learned about the school’s Children’s Day celebrations. Guided by the philosophy of nature-based education, the kindergarten has created immersive outdoor learning and experience settings. Children enthusiastically participated in a variety of hands-on and engaging activities. Zhou commended the kindergarten’s distinctive educational approach and wished the children a happy International Children’s Day. He stressed that educators should respect the developmental law of young children, steadily advance the integration of childcare and preschool education services, optimize the distribution of inclusive and high-quality preschool educational resources, and make every effort to safeguard children’s healthy growth. He called for solid progress in improving the quality and effectiveness of early childhood education so as to ensure that all children have access to proper care and education from an early age.
