On May 25, the Standing Committee of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee conducted an inspection in Jianhu County to investigate the development of the artificial intelligence (AI) and low-altitude economy industries. The visit aimed to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on Jiangsu’s work, fully carry out the requirements of the 12th Session of the 8th Municipal Party Committee Plenary Session, seize new opportunities in artificial intelligence, ramp up efforts on new future industrial tracks, build a high-level new growth engine, accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces in line with local conditions, and steadily promote high-quality development. The inspection was led by Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee. Yan Hanping, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Wu Wei, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee, and other officials attended the event.

During the field research, members of the Standing Committee conducted in-depth exchanges with relevant parties to learn about development demands and discuss solutions to existing problems, rolling out concrete measures to boost industrial clustering, quality improvement and efficiency gains. They noted that the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation represented by AI is accelerating the emergence of new modes of production and daily life. While acknowledging challenges, we should attach greater importance to underlying opportunities. The whole city shall deepen understanding and bolster confidence in development, earnestly carry out the “AI Plus” Initiative, advance the in-depth integration of AI into production and daily life, foster a host of forward-looking integrated application scenarios centered on marine economy and low-altitude economy, and build an innovation-driven smart economy and human-centric smart society.
