On June 24, the Yancheng City thematic event for the 2026 Jiangsu Province “MSME Day” – the Yancheng City Symposium on Serving High-Quality Development of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises – was held. Wu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Professor Wang Junbo, a doctoral supervisor from Southeast University, was invited to give a lecture.
After affirming the role of MSMEs, Wu Wei emphasized that all departments at all levels should deepen their understanding, firmly implement the “two unswervinglys” principle (unswervingly consolidate and develop the public sector and unswervingly encourage, support and guide the development of the non-public sector), further improve the alignment between government actions and enterprise needs, enhance their capabilities in safeguarding and serving enterprises, and help enterprises transform from “small and beautiful” to “big and strong”. He also stressed the need to continuously optimize services by ensuring “targeted and precise” policy implementation, “responding promptly to every enterprise request”, “combining rigidity and flexibility” in legal protection, and “promoting close yet clean government-business interactions”, so as to create a favorable development environment and assist enterprises in reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and upgrading quality.
