To solidly advance the preparations and execution of the 2025 Yancheng Marathon, on March 27, the city held an analysis meeting on the marathon’s comprehensive drill. Fei Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, attended and delivered remarks, while Vice Mayor Li Lanxiang presided over the meeting.

The drill strictly followed the event-day procedures. Participants reviewed pre-race preparations along the competition route and oversaw security, medical support, and other critical aspects at key points. Fei Jian emphasized that all relevant departments must strengthen coordination,implement responsibilities, enhance scheduling and supervision, and ensure the full completion of preparatory tasks. He stressed the need to reinforce risk awareness, meticulously identify potential hazards at key phases, thoroughly implement security measures, conduct comprehensive emergency drills, and resolutely safeguard safety baselines to better balance event organization and urban operations. Additionally, he called for intensified publicity efforts across pre-event, in-progress, and post-event phases to amplify the event’s comprehensive impact, innovatively integrate sports with cultural and tourism activities, and ensure the marathon proceeds safely and successfully.
