On the afternoon of March 12, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, met with participants for the preparatory meeting of the 26th China-Japan-ROK Sister Cities Conference. Zhu Dan, Director of the East Asia Work Department of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shigehiro Chikamatsu, Director of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations. Beijing, and Kim Eung-soo, Director of the Governors Association of the Republic of Korea. China attended the meeting.
Zhou Bin welcomed the guests and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Yancheng. He said that Yancheng, facing Japan and South Korea across the sea, enjoys close economic and trade exchanges and frequent people-to-people exchanges, and has achieved fruitful results in cooperation in the fields of green and low-carbon, new generation information technology, high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing in recent years. Holding the China-Japan-ROK Sister Cities Conference will build a good bridge for communication and cooperation between the local governments of the three countries, and is of great significance to continuously deepening exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promoting regional economic integration. Yancheng will make every effort to make preparations for the conference and strive to make positive contributions to deepening the friendly cooperation among the three countries and achieving a higher level of mutually beneficial and win-win results.
