From March 16 to 21, the 10th International Strawberry Symposium will be held in Yandu District, Yancheng City. With a planting scale of 867 hectares, the strawberry industry is a characteristic enriching industry in Yandu, with an annual output value of over 1 billion yuan, which is the largest strawberry planting scale in Yancheng City.

In recent years, Yandu strawberry industry has seen high-quality development. In 2012, Yandu successfully passed the acceptance of "Provincial Standardized Demonstration Area for 667 Hectare Facility-based Strawberry", won more than 40 national and provincial gold and silver awards, more than 20 registered trademarks, and in 2018, "Yandu Strawberry" successfully registered the National Geographical indication certification trademark. On May 4, 2021, Yancheng City won the right to host the 10th International Strawberry Symposium. This is the second time that the International Strawberry Symposium, known as the "Strawberry Olympics", has come to China after Changping in Beijing in 2012.
