“Every 10 minutes, one unmanned delivery vehicle rolls off the line.”
On November 18, inside the fully automated production line at Neolix’s Yancheng factory, the process flowed seamlessly: chassis mounting, sensor calibration, and final assembly. One after another, brand-new Neolix X6 unmanned vehicles drove off the end of the line, ready for pre-delivery vehicle testing and validation.
“The Neolix X6 is equipped with an ‘intelligent brain’ that integrates advanced perception and decision-making systems — its intelligence level rivals that of a highly experienced human driver,” said Liu Jingyao, General Manager of Neolix (Yancheng) Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The X6 features 12 high-definition cameras and 2 LiDAR units, creating a 360-degree perception network with a detection range of up to 160 meters and robust obstacle avoidance and risk evasion capabilities.
Mass production is the key foundation for large-scale commercial deployment. “As the world’s first L4 autonomous vehicle manufacturing facility, the Neolix Yancheng factory integrates production, testing, and calibration in one location. Once the ongoing capacity expansion project is completed, annual production capacity will reach 30,000 units,” Liu Jingyao added.
In the urban last-mile and intra-city delivery sector, Neolix currently serves hundreds of leading industry clients and commands over 70% of the national market share.
“This year, Neolix partnered with DiDi Freight to pioneer the industry’s first Unmanned Freight RaaS (Robot-as-a-Service) model for instant delivery — delivering true ‘what you see is what you get’ unmanned service and dramatically lowering the barrier for logistics customers to adopt autonomous delivery,” Liu explained. Orders from new urban delivery scenarios have exploded, now accounting for more than 50% of both monthly order volume and revenue — making it the company’s largest demand segment.
Safe road operations and efficient fleet management are the core challenges for the entire industry. “We are the only company in China certified by the State Post Bureau as an ‘Unmanned Driving Technology R&D Center’ and have played a leading role in drafting multiple national standards, including Technical Requirements for Delivery Unmanned Vehicles,” Liu noted.
As of September this year, Neolix unmanned vehicles have obtained public road operation permits in over 300 cities across China (including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Suzhou) and are deployed in 15 countries and regions worldwide.
