On November 21, the 2025 China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Yancheng. Li Ji, Member of the Supervision and Judiciary Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress and Vice President of the China Society of Emergency Management, attended the conference. Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of Yancheng Municipal Party Committee, and Kim Young-joon, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai, delivered speeches. Yan Hanping, Deputy Secretary of Yancheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, made a promotion presentation. Chen Xiaodong, Vice Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, and Go Gwang-wan, Administrative Vice Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City of the Republic of Korea, also delivered speeches respectively.

At the conference, the investment environment of Yancheng, the Korea-China (Saemangeum) Industrial Park, the Core Area for Industry-City Integrated Development of the China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park, and the Port-Affiliated Supporting Area of the China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park were promoted. Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, Yancheng Municipal People’s Government, and the Administrative Committee of Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone signed an agreement on jointly establishing a Korea-based economic and trade representative office. Three China-South Korea industrial parks in Yancheng, Yantai, and Huizhou signed a cooperation memorandum on a linkage mechanism. A batch of large-scale, export-oriented, and innovative green and low-carbon cooperation projects were signed. During the event, a signing ceremony for establishing a sister city relationship between Yancheng and Gwangju Metropolitan City of the Republic of Korea was also held, along with a series of activities including project inspections, calligraphy and painting exchanges, and sci-tech innovation matchmaking.
