On the evening of September 15, the modern Huai opera Little White Poplar: Hello, I am Su Xiaoguang premiered at the Ili Grand Theatre. This production was a collaborative effort by the Jiangsu Huai Opera Troupe, the Ili State Song and Dance Theatre, and the Cultural, Sports, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau of Chabuchar County. Through the vehicle of art, the performance poignantly narrates the stories of aid to Xinjiang and celebrates the spirit of selfless dedication.

The play highlights the touching experiences of aid worker Su Xiaoguang during his four missions to Xinjiang, showcasing the love for the motherland and the contributions to border development made by those who assist the region. It pays tribute to the dedication of aid workers while representing a new exploration and practice of Huai opera.

Notably, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture and Chabuchar Xibo Autonomous County. The Jiangsu Charm and Ili Affection: Huai Opera in Ili cultural exchange event, hosted by the Jiangsu Aid to Ili Command and organized by the Jiangsu Aid to Ili Yancheng Working Group, kicked off at the Ili Grand Theatre. On the evening of September 12, the large-scale modern Huai opera The Little Town was performed, offering local audiences a dramatic feast spanning thousands of miles. As a recipient of the National Wenhua Award, The Little Town captivated the audience with its gripping plot and rhythmic intensity, earning enthusiastic applause and cheers from the local spectators.
