On the afternoon of April 2nd, Yancheng city and Jiangsu State Farms Corporation signed a cooperation framework agreement, aiming to further leverage the strengths of both parties and jointly contribute to the development of a robust agricultural province. Zhou Bin, the Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, and Wu Benhui, the Party Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Jiangsu State Farms Corporation, were present and delivered speeches. Zhang Mingkang, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Jiang Jianyou, the Deputy Party Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Jiangsu State Farms Corporation, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Zhou Bin expressed gratitude to the Group for its longstanding support for the economic and social development of Yancheng. He briefly outlined the agricultural, rural, and farming situation in Yancheng, highlighting the deep historical ties, industrial compatibility, and complementary resources between Yancheng and the Group. He emphasized the solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides and hoped that the agreement would foster further innovation cooperation in projects and mechanisms. He stressed the importance of aligning with the Provincial Party Committees requirements, focusing on the characteristics of farms and urban areas, actively establishing large-scale production bases, and enhancing food security foundations.

Wu Benhui expressed optimism for cooperation, focusing on modern agricultural development. This includes initiatives like forming a state-owned farm alliance, constructing large-scale production bases, fostering clustered industries, advancing green transformation, and developing the medical and health sector. He aims to strengthen the comprehensive, long-term, and stable strategic cooperation relationship, contributing to high-quality development and agricultural modernization.

According to the cooperation agreement’s objectives and friendly discussions, both parties will outline 13 key tasks across three main areas: promoting industry integration, establishing technology synergy mechanisms, and creating a enabling business environment. The agreement encompasses major projects spanning technological innovation, deep processing, infrastructure, and rural development, totaling 15 initiatives.
