On November 21st, the China-Europe Offshore Renewables Development and Cooperation Forum was held in our city. Ren Jingdong, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, while Fu Cong, Chairman of the Chinese Embassy in the European Union and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, delivered a video speech. Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, Wang Bin, General Manager of China Electric Power Construction Group, MARJO Marjo Crompvoets, Consul General of the Netherlands in Shanghai, Lise Nordgaard, Consul General of Norway in Shanghai, and Miguel Montoya, Vice President of the European Chamber of Commerce in China, delivered speeches respectively. Zhang Mingkang, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee and Mayor, presided over the meeting.

The forum released the "Yancheng Declaration", "Open Solicitation of Pilot Demonstration Technology Scheme for High Proportion Application of Offshore Photovoltaics, Offshore Energy Island and New Energy", "Comparative Analysis and Cooperation Potential Research Report on Key Technologies and Industrial Chain of Floating Offshore Wind Power between China and Europe", and signed 25 major projects with a total amount of 29.48 billion yuan, to further promote innovation and industrial upgrading of offshore new energy technology, and deepen practical cooperation between China and Europe.

The forum also set up six parallel sub-forums, including “Offshore Wind and Solar Power”, “Zero Carbon Industrial Park”, “Energy Storage”, “Hydrogen”, “New Power System”, and “Green Electricity & Green Electricity Certificate”. The attending representatives shared and exchanged development policies, technical solutions, and practical experience around key hot topics, providing suggestions for promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the offshore new energy industry.
